Every spring golfers are treated to the most anticipated tournament in the world of golf. The Masters is held the first full week of April at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta Georgia. Originating with Bobby Jones, he designed the course with the legendary course architect Alister Mackenzie.

The beauty and pure conditioning of the course alone would get many to tune in after a long winter but the Masters never fails to produce the most dramatic golf by players at the top of the game year after year.

The tournament has the perfect combination of what we love as fans. It’s the only major championship played on the same course every year. As creatures of habit we love familiarity, and being familiar with a course like Augusta makes the Masters an event no golf fan wants to miss one second of each and every year.

The back nine has been the site of some of golfs greatest moments by some of its greatest players. Starting with Gene Sarazen’s “shot heard ’round the world” a holed 4 wood for a 2 at the par 5 15th in 1935. The games greats have been creating history on the back 9 on Sunday ever since.

This year will undoubtedly be no different. With a number of the worlds greatest players in top form entering the event and Tiger trying rebound from having arguably the greatest short game ever disappear, there promises to be high drama once again.
